About the Author
Marilynn Jackson, PhD, MA, RN
Completing a doctorate in Business Psychology (2001), Marilynn has shifted her emphasis to intuitive understanding of the personal voice of nursing through reflective practice and the creation of harmony within leadership and work groups. A graduate of the University of Northern Colorado (Greeley, BSN), Marilynn then received her MA in Management and Organizational Behavior from the University of Phoenix. Writer of numerous articles and award winning books, Marilynn has focused on the concepts of delegation, critical thinking and outcomes-based care and more recently on the difficulties in the relationships of physicians and nurses. Clinical Delegation Skills: A Handbook for Nurses, co-written with Ruth Hansten, was awarded the AJN Book of the Year in its first edition, with the third edition being released in spring 2004.
Residing in Kailof, AK, Marilynn serves as graduate faculty for the University of Phoenix Online Campus. Participative sessions and workshops on reflective practice, leadership development, and personal coaching are part of her business, Intuitive Options. Chloe, her resident ray of sunshine (a Golden Retriever), is always at her side, training diligently for a promising future in pet therapy.

LOVE. This. Book!

OMG!!!!!! I wish I would have found this at the beginning of my nursing program. I'll be using this as my wingman when I go to clinicals in future classes. Can't believe a book so tiny is packed with so much info. Everything in the book is needed info. Doesn't contain fluff. Marilynn Jackson this is perfect!!!

Great reference book for student nurses.

Lots of handy information for the new nurse for those moments you need a reminder of proper procedure. Wouldn't want to be without it! perfect size for carrying to clinicals, small enough for scrub pockets and the wipe off pages are great!
